Love Island USA Season 7 Episode 22 was the chaos we needed, but did anyone actually find love?

There was no doubt that the Casa Amor shock in Love Island Usa season 7 would change everything, and Episode 22 kept that promise. After a week apart, with new people and changing feelings, the original Islanders and their Casa Amor counterparts got back together in a big way. There was a lot of tension, awkward glances, and some really sad choices to make at that moment. Who stayed and who went home after the Casa Amor reunion?

As always, the recoupling ceremony was hard after Casa Amor. After the first pairings, six Islanders were left alone and open to attack. The rest of the Islanders then had to agree on who to keep from the single group. The Casa Amor team decided to keep Elan Bibas and send JD Dodard and Zac Woodworth home. The original villa group, on the other hand, chose to keep Olandria Carthen, which meant that Vanna Einerson and Coco Watson had to leave.

It's impossible to picture how much these times hurt. JD, Zac, Coco, and Vanna all wanted to become closer to each other, but the last vote didn't go their way. Vanna, who had been interested in several Islanders, couldn't make a strong enough connection. Coco was in a similar scenario. For JD and Zac, the Casa Amor lads, their trips also came to an end suddenly. This big dump really showed how ruthless the game is.

The Taylor and Olandria situation broke my heart.

Even while the recoupling made new couples, I couldn't help but think that some of the decisions were more planned than emotional. For instance, it was especially distressing to watch what happened with Taylor Williams and Olandria Carthen. Olandria had been quite honest about how she felt about Taylor. She even left him a sweet note and pictures before Casa Amor. She really thought they would get back together.

But Taylor decided to get together with Clarke Carraway. This may sound bizarre, but Taylor's choice felt like a direct attack on Olandria, who had put herself out there emotionally. Olandria even said that Taylor didn't appear to mind that she was making out with Nic, which she had done to check if they had any chemistry. It was clear that Taylor's relationship with Clarke was more physical, and the fact that he didn't react to Olandria's test was noteworthy.

Olandria and Nic Vansteenberghe were given the chance to get back together as a couple after being "dumped," but they chose to stay platonic and pursue their initial relationships. This made things even more complicated. They kissed passionately and seemed to have chemistry, but they both knew their hearts were with someone else. This indicates that even when you get a second chance away from the villa pressure, it's hard to manufacture real feelings.

There's little doubt that the Casa Amor recoupling has changed the way things work in the villa. The game has been reset with new pairs like Austin and Jaden, Amaya and Zak, Pepe and Gracyn, Andreina and Bryan, TJ and Iris, Ace and Chelley, Huda and Chris, and Cierra and Nic. These choices will have effects that last, putting these new relationships to the test and maybe even bringing back old flames. The Islanders now have to deal with a very different world.

There's no denying that Love Island USA does well with these big changes, but I always want to see real love come out of the craziness. Episode 22 was really entertaining, but it made me question if any of the new pairings will last, or if they are just working together to win the $100,000 reward. The show keeps showing how hard it is to find love when so many people are watching.
