This meant that even if an Islander wanted to stay with the person they were originally connected to, they still had to say so and the other person had to select them back. If not, they would be alone and open to attack. This twist made things much more stressful and unclear, making every decision feel highly important.

I was shocked by Taylor's choice, but Nic and Olandria's twist was a high point.

The destiny of Nic and Olandria was one of the most talked-about topics before the recoupling. After being sent out of the villa in episode 20, they were offered another chance to come back as a pair. At first, they chose to stay friends and try to get back together with their old friends, but their sudden return to the main villa shocked everyone. I wanted them to find a spark, but in the end, they chose to stay with other people. Olandria still loved Taylor, and Nic still had high hopes for Cierra.

There were several really shocking moments during the recoupling. Olandria was definitely still interested in Taylor Williams, but she chose to be with Clarke Carraway instead. Olandria was clearly upset and single. I could sense Olandria's pain, especially because she had worked so hard for Taylor. Fans quickly pointed out that Taylor had been "all in" on Clarke, even though she was leading Olandria on. It's always hard to see Islanders leave after trying to find love, even though these dumpings are part of the game. It seemed especially cruel of the producers to bring Nic and Olandria back only to put them in danger again, even if Olandria was saved in the end.

Love Island USA season 7 episode 22 was a real rollercoaster of emotions. It showed how unpredictable the villa can be and how high the stakes are in Casa Amor. The recoupling dashed some dreams and strengthened others, drastically changing the competition. I'm excited to see how these new couples deal with the drama that is likely to occur.
