Amazon Prime Video is doubling down on MrBeast’s unscripted spectacle. Though there’s no official word from the streamer yet, insiders say the next seasons of Beast Games will blow the first one out of the water — and that there could be multiple seasons coming sooner than later.

Prime Video is planning multiple seasons of Beast Games

Amazon hasn’t formally announced a renewal, but Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios chief Mike Hopkins made it clear during a recent panel in Los Angeles that more Beast Games are on the way. Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference, Hopkins said the streamer is “going to do a couple more seasons of that, I think, soon.”

That’s likely more than just a standard two-season extension. Sources familiar with the plans tell Deadline and others that Amazon is eyeing a multi-season commitment — possibly two at once — for the high-budget reality series created by YouTube titan Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast. Hopkins’ comment lines up with what insiders are hearing about the scope of the deal.

The next season could be the biggest show ever made

What’s coming next for Beast Games sounds almost too big to believe. Reports say the new season will feature 7,000 contestants — more than seven times the number in Season 1 — and will be filmed across multiple continents. Instead of one massive location, the competition will span different global sites, including the African desert, South America, Greece, the Philippines, and more.

According to insiders, the plan is to have around 1,000 participants at each location, competing simultaneously across time zones. It’s a logistical nightmare turned into a production ambition — and one that fits perfectly with MrBeast’s “bigger, faster, more extreme” approach to content.

Prize money and production budget keep soaring

The cash on the line is also set to increase. While Season 1 promised a $5 million prize, it ended up giving away over $23 million. Next time, that number could climb to $12 million, breaking more records for prize money in a competition show. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Season 1 reportedly cost Prime Video more than $100 million to produce. The next season’s budget is said to be even higher — around $150 million — as MrBeast and his team push for more elaborate sets, advanced tech, and bigger stunts. One source called it a “$150 million experiment in creator-driven entertainment.”

MrBeast wants to build a permanent game city for future seasons

In interviews, Donaldson has shared ambitious plans for the future of Beast Games. He envisions a permanent “game city” where challenges can be filmed year after year. Instead of building new sets each season, the team would expand on the existing infrastructure — creating a living, evolving playground for the competition.

“The first season was a learning experience,” MrBeast said. “Now we know how to do it better, cheaper, and bigger. I want to do this every year until I die.”

Crazy ideas that didn’t make the cut — but may still come later

One of the most revealing recent interviews had Donaldson describing a wild machine-gun stunt that he wanted to film in the desert. The idea was to have contestants shoot at a distant scarecrow with colored bullets — just for the cinematic effect. Then turn it into a psychological game with money bags dropped from scaffolding. He called it a “coolest shot ever” idea, but safety concerns killed it.

Still, the fact that he fought for it shows how willing MrBeast is to push the envelope. And with more creative freedom (and bigger budgets) in future seasons, it’s easy to imagine these types of explosive ideas making a comeback.

Beast Games isn’t just a show — it’s a new kind of fandom experience

What sets Beast Games apart from other reality competitions is how tightly it’s tied to MrBeast’s existing YouTube audience. With over 244 million subscribers, Donaldson doesn’t just have viewers — he has fans who watch him give away money, build crazy stuff, and now compete in massive games.

And that audience is only growing. More than 50 million people watched the first season within its first 25 days on Prime Video. That makes it the most-watched unscripted series in the platform’s history. MrBeast says many fans don’t even realize he’s a YouTuber — they know him from Beast Games.

MrBeast’s next goal: 10 seasons of Beast Games and 100 million viewers

MrBeast isn’t interested in one-offs. He wants longevity. His current goal is to produce at least 10 seasons of Beast Games. He compares it to Survivor — a show he hopes to outlast. And with Prime Video’s backing, that goal seems achievable.

He’s even targeting a “battle of the continents” for viewership — aiming for 100 million eyes on the next season. That would double the audience from Season 1 and cement Beast Games as the biggest reality competition series in history.

For a creator who started by counting to 100,000 in a boring video, MrBeast has come a long way. Now he’s not just creating content. He’s building an empire — one massive game, one crazy giveaway, and one million-camera shoot at a time.
