Another month brings another PlayStation Plus game announcement. If you're anything like me, you undoubtedly wanted to see what Sony had in store this time. The June 2025 PS Plus Game Catalog and Premium lineup has been revealed. It features a variety of genres and some familiar names. But, to be honest, this month's PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games may not have everyone jumping out of their seats. It feels like a mixed bag, which is a feeling we've had a lot lately.

We'll start with FBC: Firebreak. This is a cooperative first-person shooter. It takes place in a clandestine federal agency under attack by forces from another world. This game is a solo multiplayer experience set in the world of Control. You work together with friends or strangers to deal with unexpected situations and restore order. Surviving requires rapid thinking and collaboration. This sounds like it might be enjoyable with a nice group of friends. However, a new game debuting directly onto a subscription service can leave you wondering why it did not receive a wider release.

Then there's Battlefield 2042, which brings back the original all-out war experience. With a current arsenal of weapons, you can engage in large multiplayer battles. You guide your team to victory in both massive battles and close-up fights. These take place on maps from 2042 and earlier Battlefield games. You can discover your playstyle through many classes. It's a well-known series. Many players already have this one, but it's a good method for new players to get into some large battles.

The PlayStation Plus lineup for June includes both horror and nature games.

From scary animatronics to hunting animals, there is a bit of everything.

For horror aficionados, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 has arrived. This is the sequel to the terrifying VR game that breathed fresh life into the popular horror franchise. You play as a new Fazbear employee. You must demonstrate your ability to manage all aspects of operating and maintaining a pizzeria. It's all about determining whether you have what it takes to be a Fazbear Entertainment Superstar. If you appreciate being scared and playing Five Nights at Freddy's, this is an excellent addition to your library.

From jump scares to wide open landscapes, we have Hunter: Call of the Wild. This is a hunting game set in a highly realistic open environment. The game's makers frequently update it with ideas from their user base. You can play either alone or with pals. You can travel freely across carefully designed environments with a variety of plants and animals. The game attempts to make things more realistic by incorporating animal behavior, changeable weather, day and night cycles, and wind-borne sounds. You choose from a variety of weapons and tools. You must select the appropriate weaponry for different animals. This is a game for people who enjoy patience and authentic outdoor experiences.

A Look At The Various Titles Making Their Way To PlayStation Plus Subscribers

Next up is We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. This is an improved version of the second Katamari game, which was released in 2005. It boasts improved graphics and a new design for the in-game interface. The King of the Cosmos mistakenly annihilated all of the stars. He sent his son, Prince, to Earth. He told him to create a large katamari ball. You roll the ball to grow it bigger and collect everything on Earth. You can roll up everything, from small objects like paper clips to large structures and even humans and animals. Once the ball is finished, it transforms into a star. You can't roll up anything larger than your ball's present size. So have a plan ahead of time. In Royal Reverie, you can play Katamari as the King as a boy. This is a unique, entertaining game that many people remember fondly.

We also have Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. This game is directed and developed by the same guy who created the popular JRPG series Suikoden. It puts a new spin on the classic JRPG style. A war in Allraan brings two friends from different backgrounds together. The power-hungry Galdean Empire launched this conflict. You can travel through a diverse, mystical world alongside humans, beastmen, elves, and desert dwellers. You can meet and interact with over 100 different characters. Each has its own voice acting and rich background story. This game took almost four years to create. It was funded by a highly successful Kickstarter effort. It has turn-based combat, numerous heroes, and an interesting plot to discover.

Train Sim World 5 will be available soon for train enthusiasts. You accept new challenges and jobs as you master the tracks and trains of famous cities along three new itineraries. You get to have the ultimate train fun and begin your next journey. The crowded commuting lines can pull you away from reality. This includes the West Coast main line and the Northwestern Class 350. You can also try the winding Kinzigtalbahn on the DB BR 411 ICE-T. Alternatively, you can enjoy the sunny tracks of the San Bernardino Line and its Metrolink trains. These are powered by the MP36 and F125. This is a fairly unique type of game, but aficionados of train simulators will most likely appreciate it.

Endless Dungeon is a unique combination of roguelite, action, and tower defense. It's situated in the well-known Endless Universe. You can enter an abandoned space station alone or with buddies in co-op. You get a group of heroes who have survived a shipwreck. You must keep your crystal safe from infinite monsters. If you die while trying, you can start over and try again. You're imprisoned on a space station teeming with monsters and mysteries. To get out, you must first reach The Core. However, you cannot do this without your crystal bot. This little monster is your only means to survive in the changing rooms of this space ruin. Unfortunately, it is also easily broken. Every monster craves it. You must think quickly, plan thoroughly, position your defenses, and then prepare for action. Bugs, robots, and blobs will strive to reduce you and your crystal to dust. With so many weapons and defenses, having the appropriate gear will determine whether you survive or perish. The Last Wish Edition includes more skins, a digital soundtrack, and a digital art book. This one sounds like a good challenge for individuals who enjoy games that require frequent restarts.

Finally, PS Plus Premium members may play Deus Ex: The Conspiracy. This is an old PlayStation 2 game. It combines action RPG, stealth, and first-person shooting gameplay. The year is 2052. The world is rough and wild. Terrorists carry out open attacks, killing several people. Drugs, disease, and pollution all contribute to increased mortality. The global monetary system is on the verge of collapse. The gap between the very rich and the very poor widens. Worst of all, a long-standing hidden gang seeking to govern the globe has decided it is time to emerge and take power. This is a classic game. It will be beneficial for players to experience it for the first time on the PS4 and PS5.

What Does This Mean for PlayStation Plus Subscribers and the Service's Status?

PlayStation Plus June Games: Is the Lineup What Subscribers Really Wanted? image 4

Are these monthly games really enough to keep users satisfied in the long run?

So, what does this lineup mean for PlayStation Plus members? It feels a little silent. There are some fascinating games, such as the new FBC: Firebreak and the return of We Love Katamari, but there are no major shocks. It's impossible not to notice how many new games hit Xbox Game Pass immediately away. This has led some PlayStation Plus subscribers wonder if they should seek elsewhere. Some people are dissatisfied, as seen by their internet comments. They express themselves as follows: "Genuinely considering getting an Xbox just for Game Pass because what the hell is this," etc. "WORST month ever." Another one commented, "Another trash month following a significant price increase. Yeah, Sony, keep doing that and you'll lose every subscription. "What a garbage month."

While PlayStation Plus continues to attract a large number of subscribers, these slower months appear to be having little effect. Xbox Game Pass may not be growing as quickly, but it does receive a lot of significant new games on day one. This helps people feel as if they are receiving more value. It certainly demonstrates how much these monthly game shipments mean to players.

In addition, some popular games will be phased out of service in July. This list covers Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Dying Light 2, and Remnant 2. If you wanted to play these, you'd better act immediately. When games are no longer available on the service, you must purchase them in order to continue playing. This cycle of games leaving and new ones arriving might be irritating for players who feel like they're racing against the clock. It makes you consider if you want to bind your gaming life to a subscription service.

Overall, June's Ps Plus Games provide some variation. However, given recent price swings, they may fall short of expectations. Many players are seeking for bigger, newer games to make their subscriptions truly valuable. Time will tell if Sony can introduce those titles to keep its players satisfied while avoiding additional people switching to other providers.
