If you have been following the drama in the world of Vanderpump Rules you know things are changing. Big news is out that the show is getting an entirely new group of cast members for its twelfth season. It has been almost a year since the Season 11 finale aired. With some big changes happening to the show the premiere of Season 12 has been pushed back. It is a fresh start for a series that has been through a lot. Fans are wondering if this will bring back the early magic of the show.

Bravo confirmed in November 2024 that Vanderpump Rules was renewed for Season 12. They also said the show will have a completely new cast. The original cast members were getting older starting families and were pulled apart by the Scandoval drama. It was definitely time for some fresh faces. For years new seasons of the show would start in November or December and go into the next year. But Seasons 10 and 11 had fewer episodes. They did not start until early 2023 and 2024. Then they continued through the spring. If things go as they have in the past we should see a Season 12 premiere at the end of 2025 or early 2026. Lisa Vanderpump herself said to E! News in May 2025 that things are "moving along at a very fast pace."

Lisa Vanderpump is coming back as the owner of SUR of course. But no other cast members for the new season have been shared yet. The new cast will be a group of servers at Lisa Vanderpump’s well-known SUR restaurant in California. Vanderpump hinted there are "a few people that have worked there for years that obviously come with their own problems." She also said "there’s some new people kind of joining in." She would not say if the new group is "better" than the older cast. She only said they are "different." It sounds like it will certainly be different.

The Original Vanderpump Rules Stars Are Moving On To Different Life Stages and Projects

How Fan Favorites Are Finding New Ways To Stay In The Public Eye After The Show's Shift

The original stars of Vanderpump Rules are certainly keeping fans interested in 2025. They are sharing big life updates and talking openly about their experiences. Tom Sandoval, after being on season 3 of The Traitors, is settling back into his regular life. He is enjoying a more private relationship with his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson and focusing on staying healthy. After his long time on reality TV it seems he is ready for a quieter chapter. I hope it works out for him.

Jax Taylor is also talking honestly about his past problems. He is openly sharing details about his long fight with addiction. He is celebrating a new beginning on his path to sobriety. Viewers were right about Jax Taylor filming the series while using cocaine. He has confirmed it. It is always good to see someone talk about their struggles openly. I think that takes a lot of guts.

Katie Maloney is also embracing changes. She is thinking about the emotional end of an era for the original VPR cast. She is looking forward to new chances away from reality TV. Katie has only spoken to two costars since the news about the new cast. She is grieving the end of an era with the help of a select few friends. These stars are proving they are not done making news as they deal with personal growth and what comes next after their time on the well-known show. It makes me wonder what they will all do next.

Vail Bloom's Life After Vanderpump Rules: Motherhood, Acting, and Being a "Child Uber Driver"

A Look Into The Quiet Life Of A Former SUR Hostess Who Rarely Gets Recognized From The Show

Vail Bloom has changed a lot since her time on Vanderpump Rules. The Princeton graduate joined the SUR staff in Season 3. She had a flirty situation with Jax Taylor. She also went on one awkward date with SUR manager Peter Madrigal. It has been 10 years since the VPR Season 3 finale aired. Vail's life looks very different now. She is an actress. She also acts as a mom to two sweet children, a daughter named Charlie and a son named Jack. She is very active on her Instagram account posting cute photos of her kids. I find it really sweet.

Vail’s Instagram profile says what she is doing now: "I am an actress who likes to be in the background...of the heroes of my life." Her latest Instagram photos with her children show this perfectly. Vail posted a photo of her and her children dressed up on April 27. They were in their "[Sunday] best" standing outside. She wrote "Fam time" in the caption. Her kids are also very active. In February Vail posted a photo of Charlie at a gymnastics meet. She wrote "My Little Athlete — she's [perfection]. I'm so proud of you!" I think that is a lovely thing for a mom to say.

The kids also like the arts just like their mom. In a February Instagram post Vail shared that she took both kids to see the LA Philharmonic play. She wrote "Jack's 1st, Charlie's 2nd [Symphony] Sundays." Vail still follows most of the VPR cast from her time on the show on Instagram. This includes Scheana Shay Kristen Doute Tom Sandoval Tom Schwartz Ariana Madix and Lisa Vanderpump. It is nice to see she still keeps up with some of them even after all this time.

Scheana admitted in a February 2024 interview that she had not kept in touch with Vail in recent years. But she said she would be open to reaching out to her. "I haven't seen her or talked to her in so long," Scheana said. "I wish her the best. I should probably reach out. I should probably see how she's doing." Vail only appeared on VPR Season 3. She was hired as a SUR hostess during Season 3 Episode 7. She got friendly with some of the cast like Scheana. She even went to Scheana’s bachelorette party in Miami during that season.

Lisa had even predicted that Vail would not last long at SUR. She had a very good interview and Lisa Vanderpump hired her. "She's too good, she's never going to last," Lisa said during VPR Season 3 Episode 7. "She's too cute, she's too pretty, she's too smart. Perfect." Vail admitted in a July 2023 podcast that very few people recognize her from VPR. "It's a funny thing," she said. "I was just at a fifth birthday party with my daughter, and maybe two-and-a-half hours into hanging out with the moms, drinking rosé in the kitchen while there's kids outside, [one mom] was like, 'And I just have to ask you. Huge Vanderpump fan...'" She added that when people do ask they have been thinking about it the whole time. "It's epic." Vail is still an actress. She is most known for her role on The Young and the Restless appearing in over 250 episodes. She said her plans now are to enjoy driving her children calling herself a "child Uber driver."

Why The Former Vanderpump Rules Star Is Back But Will Not Be Joining The Valley Show

Stassi Schroeder's future on Vanderpump Villa has been shared. Producers are looking for new "quirky" people for that show. Season 3 of Lisa Vanderpump’s newest reality project has not been officially announced by Hulu yet. But The U.S. Sun reported that the show will be back. After an explosive season 2 of Vanderpump Villa which became available to stream on Hulu in April fans have been asking for updates. A source confirmed the LVP spin-off will be back on Hulu. Some familiar faces will be along for the ride. "Vanderpump Villa is greenlit for a third season and will be back on Hulu. Stassi will be returning with Beau,” the source said of Stassi’s husband Beau Clark. “Lisa loved watching their dynamic and marital tension play out and it was a big hit with the fans so there was no question about them returning too."

The source also gave a hint of what production is looking for in guests. "Ideally, they want groups of 6-8 people and they are seeking people who have milestone life events going on." They are looking for school or work reunions vow renewals anniversaries career achievements or any special celebration. "And obviously, who they select needs to have a fun, quirky personality and be a team player with the cameras,” they said. Fans saw Stassi and Beau’s marriage during season 3 of Vanderpump Villa. The pair were seen on camera having heated fights. The tension started over Beau’s close relationship with his sister Georgia. Stassi felt Beau was "prioritizing over everyone else," including his wife. Their fight became very intense when Stassi got angry because Beau has his sister’s name tattooed on his body.

Even though they eventually made up Stassi and Beau’s arguing was a main part of the drama in the most recent season of the Hulu show. Stassi returned to reality TV this year after Bravo fired her from Vanderpump Rules in 2020. While she has not been on TV as much Stassi kept fans updated with her life on social media. This includes her growing family. Beau and Stassi got married in a fancy Italian ceremony in May 2022. Their wedding was put off because of the pandemic. They welcomed their first child Hartford Rose in January 2021 and their son Messer Rhys in September 2023.

Many fans thought Stassi would return to reality TV when The Valley started on Bravo in 2024. Stassi’s former best friend Kristen Doute who was also fired from Bravo at the same time leads The Valley cast. Its season 2 is currently airing. However Stassi made it clear she will not join The Valley. She said in a SiriusXM interview "Every fiber of my being voted no." She added "It’s a lot of different reasons. First of all, it wouldn't be a reflection of what my reality is. Because I'm not friends with any -- you know, it's just not my group of friends." She said she is friendly with some of them but it is "not my crew." So it looks like Stassi is staying with Vanderpump Villa for now.

What Does The Future Hold For Vanderpump Rules: A Return To Its Roots?

The New Cast Members Aim To Bring The Show Back To Its Original Charm

Lisa Vanderpump did hint that the storylines on the new show will be different from what we have seen before. "It’s totally different to the original show," the reality star explained. "Of course, it has to be different. That story’s been told. But you could film that show 365 days a year.” With the original friend group "fractured" after Tom Sandoval‘s affair with Raquel Leviss it was time to go in a new direction. The goal is to bring the show back to what it first was: a group of young people working at a popular restaurant. Many of the original cast members were not working at SUR by Season 11. An executive producer said that building on the series' history is a thrill. He shared "With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”

I think this is a smart move. The show really needed a reset. The original cast had become too famous and too wealthy to believably be servers and bartenders. Their lives were big and complicated. While I will miss some of the original drama, the idea of getting back to the basics of young people navigating friendships, relationships, and work in a restaurant setting sounds refreshing. It feels like a chance for Vanderpump Rules to find its footing again and bring in a new generation of fans who might be looking for that kind of lighthearted, messy, restaurant-based reality show.

It will be interesting to see if the new cast can capture the same energy and appeal that made the first seasons so popular. There is a lot of pressure on them. But with Lisa Vanderpump still at the helm and a clear vision to return to the show's roots I think it has a good shot. I am certainly curious to see what this new chapter brings. Will we find new favorites? Will the drama feel fresh again? Only time will tell but I am ready to watch it all unfold.
