Rachel Rosette found Paris to be a major disappointment on a recent episode of NBC's Destination X. Even though she left early, her Southern personality can still keep her head up. Her hair and cosmetics were always flawless, regardless of the concealed location. She told NBC Insider that it was difficult to maintain her appearance while packed onto that bus.
"There's a couple shots where you can see me and Kim [Conner], sitting on the edge of the bed with these tiny little mirrors," she told me. She was laughing. "We would get up before everybody else to try to get ready because I was like, 'I don't want anyone seeing my face, my real hair, anything about me!' But it teaches you to move fast!"
Rachel made it through three segments of the game show presented by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. She entered the show expecting to win the $250,000 prize for IVF treatment. However, she told us that a lot changed for her after she got off the bus in "The City of Light."
By the third episode of Destination X, Rachel realized she didn't blend in with the other candidates enough to build effective teams. In theory, working with Rick Szabo seemed to be her greatest option. However, no one trusted him. He was viewed as erratic. Rachel explained that she did not attach her game to his. It seemed like a wise decision at the time. She didn't want to take chances on someone so untrustworthy.
"Emotionally, it was difficult because I could sense alliances being formed that I was not a part of," she said of feeling alone. "So, on top of not being able to trust these people, there's other alliances being made that I'm not a part of, so it just added to the emotional turmoil that you feel on a show like this."
Rachel's Frustrations With Other Contestants And The Difficulty Of Forming Trust On Destination XWhen Rick Szabo's actions made Rachel realize she needed to go it alone.
Rachel thought Rick had let her down once before. "Rick was someone I liked right away. Rick stood out to me among the others because he talked about his wife, children, and life. "And I was like,'sweetie dad vibes,'" she recalled of their initial conversations. "When I realized he was feeding information to the guys, I was like, 'Bro, what the hell?'" "I thought we connected and had this little friendship going on? I wouldn't have called it an alliance," she clarified. "Not enough to throw me under the bus. I was astonished to discover that he was giving other individuals clues. And I believe that's why I acted the way I did, because I was deeply upset. "I am the only one who kept my word about the clues, as Ally told Tai."
"I was like, 'You can't trust anybody,' and that's what made it hard to want to commit," she said about not having alliances in the end. "Because I'm like, 'Why commit if I know they're just gonna lie anyway?'" This sense of not being able to trust anyone surely made the game more difficult for her. It transformed each interaction into a question mark. It demonstrated how deeply the emotional aspect of the game affected her.
Even with hard clues and croquet games on the manor grounds, Rachel became perplexed when attempting to determine her French location. Rachel admitted that on her third trip to the Map Room, she allowed Tai's information to permeate her mind. She chose Cannes as the location. She trusted Tai's precise clues too much. "It came from Tai's clues because they were so niche, so specific, like the Can-can dance and the film festival," she said why she avoided Paris. "But I always had a strategy when I entered the Map Room. "Then you sit down and look at the screen, the timer starts, and you're like, 'Oh crap, never mind!'" she explained. She was laughing.
"It's like classic test-taking 101. I've studied and understand what I need to do. And then you look at those multiple-choice questions and think, 'Wait a second, maybe I'm wrong.'" This struggle of second-guessing herself in the Map Room demonstrates how the strain of the game may affect your mind. It's easy to relate to feeling uncertain when the time is ticking.
The emotional fallout of being eliminated on her birthday, and what life is like after the show.

Rachel's Surprising Revelation About Her Exit And Her Hopes For Tomorrow
When it was unveiled, she estimated the furthest from Paris. Rachel looked as if Tai had betrayed her as she exited the bus. Rachel stated that she knew Tai had been truthful with the clues she offered. "Tai and I really clicked, but I knew she was forging relationships with other allies. But I was like, 'For now, I know that she has my back,'" she stated on why she trusted her going into the Map Room. "I also saw that she appeared to be shocked. I could tell she was sad about it, so I knew she wasn't leading me astray. I had no doubt that she believed we were in Cannes. If she had been in the Map Room, I believe she would have been in the exact same spot."
Rachel said that losing was sad. Even terrible. "It was actually my birthday when I got kicked off!" This element heightens the impact of her leave. It's not every day that you are eliminated from a reality program on your wedding day. "They put me up in a cute little hotel, and I took a relaxing bath. "I was in there for three hours," she explained. "It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. I grabbed some cake from a small French restaurant. It was a fantastic way to end it. I spoke with my family, and they were like, 'Wow, why are they letting you call? Is it because this is your birthday? I am like, "Nope!" I'm out! But that was a fantastic way to end it." It appears she found a way to make the best of a bad circumstance. It demonstrates her resilient spirit.
"The part that I wish more people saw, which you don't see on a production like this, is how amazing everybody in the background is," the actress said. "The handlers are incredible. Some of my favorite folks were those behind the scenes who were continuously asking, "Are you okay?" Do you eat enough? Are you getting sufficient sleep? What can we do to make this experience more enjoyable for you? And then it was so lovely to get off the bus and spend some time with them before heading home." This serves as a good reminder that many individuals work hard to make these performances a reality. It's excellent to hear they were concerned about the participants' well-being.
"I divorced after filming, but he is OK. "He's got a boyfriend," she joked. "A lot of big changes." Her sense of humor in the face of such personal transformations is quite brazen. "For me, watching it back was really hard because I'm still in that boat," she added of her desire to have children. "Except now, I gotta meet somebody again and get married again and wait to make sure they're not a psychopath, and then have kids with them." Right now, she is caring for her beloved dog. She hopes her fertility story may make other women feel less alone. Her adventure continues beyond the show.
Other Contestants Add Drama And Intrigue To Destination X Journey

From showmances to strategic plays, the bus ride is full with twists.
Rachel's tale is only one among many on Destination X. Other players are bringing their own distinct personalities to the game. Reality personality JaNa Craig, best known for her appearance on Love Island USA, is on the bus. She has a fearless attitude. She made an impact with her confidence. She admitted that she is "actually a sore loser" who "needs to win" for her ego. JaNa is interested in mind games. She believes she is skilled at responding fast to new situations.
The segment also reintroduces Peter Weber from The Bachelor. This further complicates matters. In the premiere show, Big Brother alum Josh Martinez was the first to depart after misplacing his X on the map. This early exit set the tone for how serious the stakes are in this game. The tension is relentless as participants attempt to find out their position and outwit one another.
Romance also began to appear on the bus. Shayne Cureton and Allyson "Ally" Bross developed a showmance. This was not well received by the entire bus. Rachel stated she was not a fan of it. "I don't want to talk about that because I was like," Girl. It's a showmanship." It's exactly that: "We're on a bus, and we're trying to win a quarter of a million dollars, and you're over here doing these little fingers falling in love with this dude you met on a bus a few days ago, get your head in the game!" And I wasn't a fan of that." This type of personal struggle adds an extra dimension of drama to the game. It is not only about the location. It is also about the interactions between individuals.
In the first task, the remaining eight candidates were partnered off. They had to navigate through a maze. Ally was with Christian "Biggy" Bailey. Rachel Rosette was with Kim Conner. Rick Szabo and Mack Fitzgerald were together. Shayne and Tai Lowry have partnered up. Shayne and Tai won, giving them the ability to send someone into and save someone from the Map Room. Later, they played croquet. Rachel Tai Mack Shayne and Biggy didn't win. They were all heading to the Map Room. Tai possessed the ability to save one of them. She decided to share a clue with Rachel. Tai informed her about the "Can-Can" song. However, Tai continued to utilize her save power on Shayne. Shayne then directed Rick to the Map Room. These continuous power changes keep the game exciting and surprising.

The distinctive blend of travel mystery and strategy keeps viewers engaged.

She also noted it has "countless red herrings and brain-teasing clues." This type of show invites viewers to play along from home, trying to solve the mystery themselves.
The show's hosts also add to its appeal. Jeffrey Dean Morgan hosts the US version. In the UK version, Rob Brydon is the host. This kind of host adds an interesting layer to the show. They become a part of the mystery, not just someone introducing segments. It makes for compelling television. The show's appeal is clear. It is not just about seeing pretty places. It is about the mental game and the human element. This makes Destination X a fun and unique watch.
